- History of Site: The hotel site was discovered by the
Cahuilla Indians over 900 years ago. Since then the Agua Caliente (Hot Water)
mineral springs have become well known for their powers of healing and influence
on physical rejuvenation. In 1901, the City of Palm Springs was named
for the mineral springs. In 1962 the Spa Hotel Resort & Mineral Springs
was built on the site, which lies near the center of downtown Palm Springs.
The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians acquired the entire property in
1992 and they have completely remodeled the hotel and spa for your enjoyment.

- Property Description: The property is a year round
resort on 8 acres of downtown property facing Mt. San Jacinto and a wide expanse
of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the Palm Springs
Airport, 75 minutes from Ontario International, and only 2 driving hours from
LAX.
- Accommodations: The 5 story resort hotel has 230 newly
renovated guest rooms which includes 20 suites. Many of the guest rooms and
suites have private balconies and excellent views of the cathedral rock faces
of Mt. San Jacinto. All guest rooms have a King bed or two queen beds, refrigerator,
mini beverage bar, remote TV, movie channels, radio, alarm clock, individual
heating and A/C control, D/D phones, and phone message alert. On the ground
level several rooms equiped for handicaped person are available. The suites
have two bathrooms, wet bars, 2 TVs, and bath phones.
- Food and Catering: Palm Springs traditional meeting
place is the The Agua Bar & Grill. In the restaurant
dining room or on the patio guests will find traditional favorites or healthy
dining. Good food, good service, and good morning ! Have cocktails in the
lounge or at the poolside Bar. Every day lunch is served on the poolside patio.
There is plenty of room for groups of 50 to 300 if you are planning an outdoor
theme party. Room service. The Pool Bar serves sandwiches, salads, drinks.
cocktails, and ice cream from 11 AM to 5 PM daily.
